The RGoB is pursuing a PFM Reform Action program based on PEFA findings. Based on the PEFA Report 2010, RGoB prepared a comprehensive, sequenced and time-bound action plan to bring about improvements in the PFM framework leading to enhancement in quality of public spending. The said action plan was prepared in the year 2012 and has been updated ever since. It is expected that this action plan will be further revised by RGoB after reviewing the results of the updated PEFA assessment 2016, which will inform the prioritization of activities under the MDF.
(a) strengthen PFM systems and processes (the supply side);
(b) strengthen institutions of accountability and civil society to enhance their oversight of PFM processes and performance (the demand side);
(c) bring in automation in expenditure management particularly public procurement for ensuring economy, efficiency and enhanced transparency and
(d) deepen knowledge about current PFM practices and options for improvement.
